The matte sandstone finish is exactly the kind of quiet detail I was hoping for—it catches the light without shouting. I went with the larger size and it's got a lovely weight to it that makes it feel substantial on the table.
The organic shape sits beautifully on my table, and the matte sandstone finish catches the light in a way that feels almost warm to the touch. Even the smaller size has a nice weight to it that makes it feel substantial without being heavy.
I was a little worried the matte powder coat would feel cheap, but the aluminium body has a real heft to it that makes it feel substantial. The organic shape is even more striking in person, and the smaller size fits perfectly on my nightstand without looking cluttered.
