The kiln-fired finish gives these beads a smooth, earthy feel that catches the light in a way factory-made jewelry just doesn't. I've gotten so many compliments asking where the clay pieces came from, and knowing they're hand-rolled by women in South Africa makes them feel extra special to wear.
I usually wear gold, but these hand-rolled clay beads have a warm, earthy weight that feels completely different from anything I own. You can tell each bead was shaped by hand—no two are exactly alike, and the kiln-fired finish makes them surprisingly durable for everyday wear.
The sun-dried clay beads feel wonderfully organic against my skin, and each one is a little different since they're hand rolled. I love that I can wear a piece of South African craftsmanship, and the kiln firing gives them a weight that feels substantial without being heavy.
