Category: Earrings

Drawing on African heritage and craftsmanship, each bead that makes up Thabisa's Earrings is hand rolled by the women of Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. Using raw clay, the beads are sun dried, kiln fired and dip dyed ensuring no two are the same.

Available in 2 colourways:

    1. Matte Silver, Matte Black Oxide and 14K Matte Gold with Grey Ombre Clay Beads
    2. Matte Rose Gold with Blush Ombre Clay Beads

Earrings are made with sterling silver posts. Other metal components are made from brass (either oxidised silver, silver, gold or rose gold plating).

      • Please remember your beads won’t be perfect circles and the colours may vary. Because the beads are porous, some will absorb the dye more than others. We have chosen to hand brush our metal to create the textured, imperfect aesthetic we strive for.

I was nervous about the weight, but these are surprisingly light on the ears for hand-rolled clay. You can really see the sun-dried texture up close, and the kiln finish makes them catch the light just right.

The hand-rolled beads have such a lovely, organic texture to them, and I love that each one carries the sun-dried, kiln-fired craftsmanship from KwaZulu-Natal. They're light enough for everyday wear, which is perfect since I've barely taken them off since they arrived.

The kiln firing really locks in that raw, earthy texture—each bead feels one-of-a-kind, and the hand-rolled unevenness makes them charming rather than imperfect. I've worn them three days straight and they've held up beautifully without any chipping.
