Category: Earrings

Drawing on African heritage and craftsmanship, each bead that makes up Thadie's Earrings is hand rolled by the women of Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. Using raw clay, the beads are sun dried, kiln fired and dip dyed ensuring no two are the same.

Available in 3 colourways:

    1. Matte Black Oxide with Ombre Grey Clay Beads
    2. Matte Rose Gold with Ombre Blush Clay Beads
    3. Matte Silver with Ombre Ink Clay Beads

Earrings are made with sterling silver posts. Other metal components are made from brass (either oxidised silver, silver, gold or rose gold plating).

Approx size: 5cm H x 6cm H | 1.9" H x 2.3" W

      • Please remember your beads won’t be perfect circles and the colours may vary. Because the beads are porous, some will absorb the dye more than others. We have chosen to hand brush our metal to create the textured, imperfect aesthetic we strive for.

The hand-rolled beads have such an organic, uneven texture that catches the light differently every time I move my head. I've gotten three compliments already just wearing them to grab coffee, and they feel surprisingly sturdy for being raw clay.

The sun-dried, kiln-fired finish gives each bead a subtle unevenness that makes them feel genuinely handmade, and they're lighter than I expected for clay. I've worn them all day without any irritation, and the earthy texture really elevates a simple outfit.

I’ve worn these almost daily since they arrived and the kiln-fired finish really holds up, no chipping or fading. You can tell each bead was shaped by hand, they’ve got that subtle irregularity that makes them feel special.
